EARTHY AND NATURAL

Neeta's Herbal offers a wide variety of natural herbal remedies. - By Fidah Ruzki

Seeing is believing, that's what they say. But what Nita Gosalia came across was more like "the proof of the pudding is in the eating." All this happened in 1984, when the young lady, who was suffering from severe hair loss, stumbled onto the traditional beauty secrets of India.

Gosalia went to India that year, she had already lost all hope of getting treatment that would undo the severe loss of hair that she was suffering from. She was then working for her father's textile business and her loss of hair was causing her excruciating embarrassment when clients stared at her in disgust or pity.

HAVING been in business for almost 15 years, Nita Gosalia of Neeta's Herbal is adamant that one of the main causes of hair problems is the lifestyle one leads.
"Be it Caucasians, African Americans, Asians- it's all the same. They can suffer from scalp disorders, hair loss, thinning, fungal infection and itchiness" . The problem has become bigger over the years, and it is all due to lifestyles.Their lifestyles are the main culprit of such conditions , which can cause embarrassment if left unchecked," she said.

Hair loss is a problem that can happen to anybody. Watching your luscious locks disappear down the plug-hole every morning can put you in a bad frame of mind for the whole day, especially if you don't have many of it left. It is a commonly held misconception that only men have to suffer from this affliction, but more and more women are finding that their hair is not guaranteed to always be there. Men can often defend their egos by claiming that their shining pate is proof of their virility, but hair loss can be devastating for a woman's confidence and self-esteem.

There are many reasons why a person can start losing their hair. Stress has been linked to the condition and there is no doubt that it contributes to the problem. Hair products must also take some of the blame - constant shampooing and perming take their toll in time.
